與Roksan唱盤設計師Touraj Moghaddam對談: Roksan唱片鎮與Roksan唱盤

最近幾天MYAV網站上有同好討論唱片鎮,兒這個話題起頭是由ROKSAN的唱盤報導而來,所以我就寫了幾個問題給ROKSAN的設計師Touraj(以下簡稱TM).底下是簡略的問答.希望可以給大家一些看法.(中文翻議感謝台南陸老師)

1.Why Roksan iinner platter is a little bit lowther than the outter platter? 

TM: The inner platter is lower because you do not require to support the record at the middle where the label is.

田:為何Roksan轉盤中心比較低(放置唱片鎮的地方)?
TM:因為唱片標籤部分並不需要支撐

2.Why we can not use recod clamper on Roksan turntable? 

TM: There is no necessity for clamping the record. There is no movement of the record under the stylus (very high momentum and speed and mass hits the stylus and it has no time to drag the corord itself. Rather like bullet through the wall. If you clamp the record, you change the behavior of the vinyl and thus the sound. There are two types of clamps, light and heavy. The heavy ones are just plain stupid. These have all the bad behavior of any clamp plus they wear the bearing by increasing the pressure on it. Alsoclamping the record to the spindle just ensures any noise present in the bearing and the sub-chassis etc. is also directly present in the record and thus is amplified with the music. etc. etc. etc. Do not use any clamps and just allow the mat to be the interface. 

田:為何Roksan的唱盤不使用唱片鎮?
TM:因為不需要鎮住唱片...唱片在唱針之下並無任何移動(非常高的動能和速度重擊之下唱針沒時間去拖動唱片...這很像子彈穿牆而過...如果你鎮住了唱片你會改變了唱片的狀態因此也會影響聲音的表現...唱片鎮有重和輕兩種,重的純然愚蠢...除了帶來所有唱片鎮的壞影響還會增加壓力增加軸承的磨損...同時鎮住唱片也確然使得任何存在於軸承和轉盤下的噪音傳遞到唱片上...所以噪音直接表現出來隨著音樂被放大等等等...勿使用唱片鎮,只用唱片墊就好...

3.Why the other turntable need record clamp? From a designer judgment. 

TM: No clamp improves the performance of any record player. It may change the presentation of the sound and add other artifacts to the music but not 
improve. Other designers do not know what they are doing; simple. 

田:為何其他唱盤需要唱片鎮?請就設計師的角度來看.
TM:沒有任何唱片鎮可以改善任何唱盤的表現...他可能會改變聲音表現的方式增加些人為改變但音樂並無改善...還有些設計者根本不知道自己在做什麼...就這麼簡單....

4.If you want to design a record clamp for normal turntable in the market, do you thing 350, 500, 700, 1000 grams. which one is better, why? 
TM: No clamps PLEASE.

田:如果您要設計唱片鎮上市給一般唱盤使用,您會設計幾克重?350, 500, 700, 1000公克? 何者為佳?
TM:請勿使用唱片鎮....

5.Why the mat 5 have some hole on the center? 
TM: The Rmat-5 is slightly more rigid that the original mat and thus in the centre it does not bend down where the label area is, so I put some holes to allow the mat to be 'softer' and move down so that the record can sit as flat as it can.(PS.連一個小小的唱片墊細節都能夠考慮進去,這真是太認真了) [:O] [:O]

田:為何Mat-5唱片墊中心要挖一些洞?
TM: RMAT-5唱片墊比原來的要硬些因此中心唱片標籤處不會凹下去...所以我挖幾個洞讓它軟一些而下陷這樣唱片就可以放到最平了.....
